The Lord's Prayer is perfect, covering each phase of life and every need, with the need of the now is the predominating idea. Prayer is the only way out of a confused condition. Under the law of forgiveness, prayer breaks a vicious circle, and Light destroys only the evil. Prayer lifts all that comes to you. Your life is only an expansion of you, an extension of your consciousness. Prayer is the application of divine principle. Overlook the problem, move higher in consciousness, and see God.
People have too many "little gods" in the way. Ordinary prayer is like going begging every time you want something. At the end of a day, a beggar has only small change to show for his effort. You need more than nickels, dimes and quarters in prayer.
