Today went really rough!

I thought I had it down after round one but for what ever reason today was much more painful even though I took a relaxer pill and a left over pain pill from a previous injury before I went. I just woke up as I slept all day after I got home. And it is a good thing because it's hurting and I'm having trouble seeing so I didn't miss much.

The pressure in the eye they did today was off the charts when they checked it on my arrival so it is a very good thing I got the surgery for narrow angle glaucoma! I was told that much more and I would have been blinded. The aid who did the measuring was shocked it was so high. Now, I shouldn't get that kind of high pressure anymore. Hopefully in a day or two I'll be back to normal. (What ever that is. lol)

I still have a head ache too from one set of the eye drops. I find that kind of weird  - eye drops that cause you to feel like someone snuck up and hit that whole side of your face with a baseball bat.

But I was so thankful when I heard how high the pressure was that I was sitting there getting ready to have the surgery. It looks like I dodged a bullet just in time with this whole ordeal. If I hadn't decided to get an eye exam for what I thought would just be an upgrade on my lenses I would have not known I had it in the first place.

God is good!

Thanks to everyone who prayed for me!

If you haven't had your eyes checked lately please get them checked. You can have this without having any symptoms.

That's answered prayer alright. That was close.
I'm happy to hear you came through this so well.

Thank you! For the prayers and support! I was doing the self talk the whole time, "God is with me, people are praying for me, I'll be fine!"

OMG....I'm so sorry you had this much trouble! I have 'open angle' glaucoma and my 'surgery' was totally painless. But with your type there can be a very sudden buildup of pressure so I guess the 'cure' was less kind!

Hope you feel better and I'm glad you caught it in time. I probably see my eye s...

Thank you Rocky. It wasn't horrific but it was painful. Like I wrote about before, my eyes apparently is the one thing I have about 0 tolerance for anything even coming at them much less touching them. MUCH LESS HURTING ONE! I'm glad there are other surgeries that don't hurt. It is good to know!

I thank God your surgery went well, sorry for your pain. My brother will be going through the same surgery later this year.

Thank you Bernie! I hope it will be easy for your brother. The first time around wasn't as bad as this time for some reason. But I think unless there is a reason he can't that I would suggest he ask for a relaxing pill for before hand unless he is going into some kind of surgery center where they do...

I haven't had my eyes checked in a while. I guess you've inspired me. I'm glad this is over for you and that things turned out good.

I hope so. The alternative to this is eventually sudden blindess.

Thanks Dale. I am still having problems with the left eye but I'm sure I'm on my way to being better.
