I recently wrote about my fears resulting from being diagnosed with narrow angle glaucoma. When one seriously considers the prospects of blindness, wondering how well things will be remembered has to run through the mind. I don't want to remember my house and office messy and if, God forbid, I were to lose my vision, I will need to know fairly well where everything is.

I'm a  Virgo and normally the slightest thing out of place really disturbs my peace and peace of mind. I don't exactly know how I got here to find that the little clutter piles have added up to one big mess throughout the house. I do know that I had WAY too much help with that ongoing project.

Add to that, Spring has finally sprung.

Put them together and you get Cleaning, De-cluttering and Reorganizing with a new found motivation to prepare to move on. I am actually very much enjoying getting rid of "stuff," and finding better locations for things. There have been serveral changes in circumstances since the last time I took re-organizing to task and it will be great to have my surroundings reflect those changes for time saving convenience. The cleaning part is not my favorite but I love the results.

One way or the other we go forward. From here on out I'll try not to leave a mess behind as I move in that direction!

Can this be counted as a belated New Year's Resolution since I didn't have any others?

I am forever on the de-clutter bandwagon.

My mother lost most of her eyesight in her last years. I can't tell you how it ached my heart to see her incapacitated. She was a great trooper, never complaining and dealt with it! It's not an easy thing.

Thanks for commenting. Normally I'm driving that bandwagon with a team of wild stallions lol Somehow, I allowed all of the sudden drastic changes that I went through a few years ago to stall my progress. It was so much to deal with that at one point I think I just gave up. One man's clutter may be ...

My mother was a true example of poise. Whatever came her way, she accepted it and dealt with it. She is greatly missed. Oh, and she could make you laugh out loud at times! Her sense of humor was priceless.

Wanda I think you're seeing real clearly! "Moving forward and not wanting to leave a mess behind me!" Awe-some. Something we "see" that is awe-inspiring!

Thank you Laurel! In one way it seems like a stall towards the progress I was otherwise hoping to follow up on so it is good to hear validation that it is a positive step in and of itself.

I have open angle glaucoma and my doctor did something to my eyes with a laser. She aims it at the interior of your eye and it breaks up the blockage. (Something like that!) Have you had this kind of treatment? Mine was a great success. My pressure has stayed at 11-12 for over a year.

Oh thanks so much for commenting! That is the same thing I have just been diagnosed with. I had to look it up and it is called by either name, open angle or narrow angle.

So oh please, can you tell me about your experiences with the surgery? Was it painful? How long did it last? Was it expensive? ha...
