And to you Mr Peter Rummell I say HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA and it would be a lot funnier if Brown wasn't hurting the community. You were worried about Mike Hogan's conservatism? Well what the heck are you doing in the GOP then?

What was it about Mike that you couldn't stomach to the point of turn coating with your mega bucks? Was it his excellent record in eight years on the City Council, three years in the Legislature and activities as tax collector since 2003? Or was it possibly his faith based campaign? Oh my, how dare a conservative run a faith based campaign right?

Let's see ---  Jacksonville.com reported

"State Sen. Steve Wise worked with Hogan in the early 2000s when Hogan served in the House, a job Wise believes Hogan could have parlayed into speaker if he hadn't run for tax collector. Wise called Hogan a smart, even-keeled conservative force.

"His moral compass is right on," Wise said.

Former Councilwoman Ginger Soud said she believes Hogan will address citywide problems with the same vigor he did for his Westside constituents as councilman from 1991 to 1999.

"If Mike believed in an issue, he would be passionate about that issue and step forward to do what he thought was right," said Soud, who served with him for one term."

Morals, passion - wow how awful no wonder you couldn't back him.

And it surely shouldn't matter one bit that he has deep roots here either right? I mean what could that possibly do to a person to cause them to want to do a good job for the city.

"Hogan Street. Hogan Road. Hogans Creek.

Hogan often reminds people that his ancestors were among the city's original settlers. He said he feels responsible for carrying on the name in good standing and can't think of a better way to do it than as mayor."

So you threw $150,000 at the Democrat contender Brown causing other wealthy donators to also give him their money and now you say “He does not know how to manage. That’s clear,” you told the Times-Union in an interview Friday. “He has no courage. … He’s wimped out. He’s deferred to City Council. It’s embarrassing the way he’s handled himself.”

Well I'm glad you lost your investment in a Democrat and I hope you miss it.

A rmore recent Jacksonville.com article says -

"A big-name donor already sits in Brown’s corner: Jaguars owner Shad Khan, who gave $50,000 to a political action committee supporting the mayor’s re-election.

Khan’s donation was a “very important moment for Brown’s campaign” because it shows the mayor has scored the backing of a deep-pocketed supporter, Corrigan said.

Khan’s support hasn’t ended there. He co-hosted a fundraiser last week at EverBank Field for Taking Jacksonville to the Next Level, the political action committee supporting Brown’s re-election.

Brown’s campaign has directly raised $383,967 and another $393,907 in the political action committee, according to the latest financial contribution filings. That far exceeds the $165,000 Brown had in 2011 before making the runoff against Hogan — and prior to winning support from Rummell and other GOP backers.

The mayor will also have strong backing from the Florida Democratic Party, which considers Brown a rising Democratic leader."

Well great, just great. I hope you can sleep ok at night after helping a rising Democrat Party leader in a very big way to get elected. It is said of you that you have been a leader in Jacksonville with high hopes for the city's future. Supporting a Democrat, ANY Democrat is not the way to show us you care. Do you not pay attention to the Democrat agendas these days? No one will be a rising star in that party without bending at the waist to every left leaning progressive idea that comes down the path. Is it really a surprise to you that a Democrat won't lower a budget or save tax payers' money? How can you have accomplished so much and still missed the boat on how Democrats operate? Just look at the top ten worse cities in America if you need a clue about how they do things.

Too bad all of us now are subject to your buying off the mayorship of Jacksonville. And let this be a lesson learned to any who think that someone can't buy a politician and political favors. Sometimes they don't get their money's worth and then they point the finger back at who they bought as being "an embarassment." It is more likely you are just feeling a little like the girl who didn't get taken to the prom after she put out.  Well tough. Maybe you have learned a lesson or two yourself.

I'm lucky. Coniglio is a good Mayor. We have a lot of flip flop campaign donors in this county too. Who ever makes them the most promises gets the most money. Coniglio didn't need the money. She ran on reputation and she had plenty of that to run on.
